Thomas Brockway (1807)
Gravestone of Thomas Brockway (1807) at the Old Yard Cemetery in Columbia, Connecticut. This is one of the few sandstone markers in a cemetery that is dominated by local schist, and it resembles the stones that were carved by Springfield-area carvers like John Ely.

Lydia Bennitt (1791)

This was one of the few stones that he sent back to Connecticut after moving to Vermont, where he had begun working in marble. Note the price inscription on the bottom: “Pr. 7 Dollars.”
