Gravestone of Delight Bigelow (1754) at the Old Burial Ground in Colchester, Connecticut. Carved by Gershom Bartlett. This is an early example of his work, and it is also the stone that, because of Bigelow’s probate records established Bartlett’s identity as the carver who had previously been known as the “Hook-and-Eye Man.”
